Terms of Service
Last updated: July 23, 2026 · Beta
These terms cover your company’s use of Stratum. Short version: it’s your business and your data; Stratum is the tool. Use it lawfully, pay for your subscription, and verify professional outputs before you rely on them.
Your account and team
- You must provide accurate company information and keep your login secure.
- Seats are per person. Your admins control who joins your company and what roles they hold; you are responsible for your team’s use.
Your data
Everything your team enters — customers, estimates, jobs, photos, pricing — belongs to your company. We host and process it to run the product (see the Privacy Policy). If you leave, you can export your records and request deletion.
Estimates, takeoffs, and permit outputs
Stratum generates material lists, prices, drawings, and permit-related documents from the specifications and pricing you configure. These outputs assist your work — they are not engineering, legal, or code-compliance advice. You are responsible for verifying quantities and prices before quoting, and any permit submission remains subject to review by the authority having jurisdiction and, where required, a licensed professional. Where Stratum cannot verify a value, it says so rather than guessing.
Billing
- Paid plans are billed by Stripe on the schedule you pick. Trials are free.
- If payment fails we’ll retry and tell you before restricting access. Your data is never deleted for non-payment during beta.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Stratum to break the law, to spam people, to probe other companies’ data, or to resell the service. Lead-intake and messaging features must be used consistent with the consent rules that apply to you (for example, telemarketing and text-message regulations).
Beta software
Stratum is in active development. Features may change, and despite real test coverage, defects can occur. We provide the service “as is” during beta; our liability is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the past 12 months. We’ll always tell you honestly when something broke.
Ending service
You can cancel any time; the subscription runs through the paid period. We can suspend accounts that violate these terms, with notice unless the violation is putting other customers at risk. Deletion follows the process in the Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Arizona, USA.
